With 210 days remaining before the beginning of the War of 1812 Bicentennial, already there have been many great commemorative events, including a planning session in Finch and an 1812 Dinner series in Prescott. Beyond events, this past weekend also brought news that the Gananoque Lions Club has received federal funding for commemorative activities, including the creation of the Joel Stone Heritage Park, which will be unveiled June 18, 2012. This funding will also help Gananoque host a re-enactment commemorating the Raid on Gananoque next August.
And to give your Monday morning an 1812 kick-start is our mystery photo below – do you know whose farm house this is?
